The Construction and Heritage sector of the North West of the Province of Sassari has officially suspended the procedure for the sale of the property in via Giovanni XXIII, in Alghero , the current headquarters of the Fraternita della Misericordia .
The deed is consequent to the commitment made yesterday by the administrator of the Province, Pietro Fois, who had announced his willingness to suspend the auction , as requested by many, and to find other solutions in concert with the Municipality of Alghero .
The building, valued at around one million euros , therefore, will not be sold to the highest bidder and will be able to continue to function as the headquarters of the voluntary association , a true institution in the area and a point of reference for Alghero families and not only.
