Dizzying rounds of phone calls, trips with loads of drugs in one direction - towards Sardinia - and with the money to pay for them in the other, contacts between Milan and Spain (where the suppliers moved) and Sassari, Cagliari and Quartu, cities in which a massive trafficking of narcotic substances including cocaine, hashish and marijuana was managed.

The details of the Family&Friends operation, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Cagliari and started from an investigation by the Carabinieri of the Quartu company , are reported in the 325 pages of the order signed by the investigating judge Ermengarda Ferrarese. Forty people were arrested (22 in prison and 18 under house arrest), plus another 23 under investigation.
