It is the day of the evidentiary hearing for the case of Manuela Murgia , the young woman who died in Cagliari on 4 February 1995.

"We will try every possible avenue, we must exit these activities by saying 'nothing more could have been done'", says geneticist Emiliano Giardina, the super consultant appointed by the Murgia family and who will give his contribution in the search for biological traces on the clothes worn by sixteen-year-old Manuela on the day of her death . The analyses began at 11 this morning.

Giardina, already known for having solved the Yara Gambirasio case, will "challenge" Luciano Garofano, defense consultant for Enrico Astero, the girl's ex-boyfriend and the only suspect.

Astero also appeared in court today: accompanied by his lawyer, Marco Fausto Piras, he did not make any statements.
