The search for Martina Lattuca, the 49-year-old woman who vanished on Tuesday afternoon, resumed at first light in Calamosca. Rescue Swimmers from the Cagliari Coast Guard, highly specialized operators in sea rescue operations, were also present.
Some of the woman's personal effects were found yesterday morning: the backpack, found by a group of canoeists between the Grotta dei Colombi and the Grotta Marina di Calamosca , in the Cagliari sea, was immediately handed over to the Coast Guard personnel. A shoe was later found, but it has not been confirmed that it belonged to the 49-year-old .
These discoveries have left the family members dismayed, but they remain hopeful and are actively collaborating in the search.
The woman was captured on Tuesday morning by security cameras at the "Le Terrazze" hotel. After parking her car in front , she took the path leading to the top of the Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle). It was raining, and she had an umbrella with her. Her partner raised the alarm that afternoon when he didn't see her return home.
She had not gone to the bookshop, where she works as a shop assistant, due to illness and therefore the fact that she had gone out, without leaving a message or warning, worried her partner and family members quite a bit .
The search, by land, sea, and air, continues unabated with personnel from the Coast Guard, Mountain Rescue, and Fire Department. Divers, sniffer dogs, drones, and helicopters are deployed, scouring the entire area between Calamosca, Sella del Diavolo, and Cala Fighera.
