He was stopped during the night by the Carabinieri in Villacidro while driving a scooter with an altered license plate and no insurance. An eighteen-year-old local boy in trouble, without a driving license.

During the subsequent check by the military, extended to the young man's home after finding during the search 115 euros in small denomination banknotes judged to be the possible proceeds of drug dealing, nine vacuum-packed packages of approximately one hundred grams each of marijuana were also found in the boy's possession, along with three additional small bags for a total of just over fifty grams, and a precision electronic scale.

The young man was then held in the Carabinieri's holding cells awaiting the validation hearing with a direct trial scheduled for this morning.
