The S'Adde viaduct , an extension of the 129 Nuoro Macomer state road, risks being closed to traffic again . In place of the expansion joints, last February, to overcome the emergency after a breakdown, metal sheets were put in which, with wear, have become crooked and no longer guarantee safety.

The viaduct had been closed on January 26 , with an ordinance from the Province, as the road joints, damaged by wear and tear, had become disconnected , which also caused an accident, seriously damaging the cars in transit as well. In that circumstance the Province (owner of that stretch of road), after having first closed the viaduct to traffic, had reopened it on February 26, after having made a temporary intervention, allowing circulation, but only at 30 kilometers per hour .

Instead of expansion joints at the beginning and end of the bridge, pieces of sheet metal were used, which over time became crooked and unsafe.

Many protests from motorists and problems also for public transport.

Now there is the risk of closure again, with a traffic diversion that lengthens the route by at least 10 kilometers, due to the precarious state of the joints, which must be replaced.

Nothing is known of the intentions of the Province, which does not yet have the necessary funding available to put that bridge in absolute safety.

To avoid the inconvenience and even the isolation of the town, the mayor of Macomer , Riccardo Uda, but also the president of the Union of Municipalities , Gian Pietro Arca, urge the Province to solve the problem once and for all.
