The new regional council will be entrusted with the task of starting the Tossilo waste treatment plants, in particular the start-up of the new waste-to-energy plant, which cost the Region around 50 million euros. Everything has been at a standstill since 2016 and, despite repeated announcements, the composting and waste-to-energy plants have never been restarted. A mistery.

«We await the establishment of the new regional council and the competent councilors - says the mayor of Borore, Tore Ghisu - with whom we will be able to resume the shared path, to define the start-up of the plants in a rapid and certain timeframe».

Meanwhile there is a change in the board of directors of Tossilo Spa, the company, an emanation of the industrial consortium zir, in liquidation, in charge of managing the waste platform. A few months after the appointment, the representative of the Region, Antonella Concas, and of the Municipalities, Albino Sivero, left the field. The Board of Directors, convened by president Mario Zacchino, made the new appointments. Raffaele Garau was appointed in place of Concas and Michele Corda, former mayor of Noragugume, replaced Sivero. The workers, however, have had the agreement with the Region reformulated to work on secondment until the end of the year on behalf of the Municipalities of Macomer and Borore.
