The Municipality of Macomer takes to the streets to condemn all forms of violence against Iranian women and support their protests , born after the killing of Masha Amini , arrested and mortally beaten by the "moral" police for not wearing the correct 'jhab, the veil imposed by Islamic law.

" Woman, life, freedom " is the march organized by the Radical, Nonviolent, Transnational and Transparty Party which the municipal administration will join on Saturday 10 December with a demonstration that will cross the city streets . A slogan that challenges a patriarchal system, going against some Islamic discriminatory laws, especially with regards to gender inequalities and equal rights.

The initiative stems from a motion presented in recent days by the municipal councilor with responsibility for education, Dalila Puggioni , which also provides for a series of awareness-raising events in schools.

"A very heartfelt motion, emotionally complicated for the issues dealt with - explains Puggioni - Now begins an important journey that will see us engaged in the squares, promoters of debates in schools and activists for the protection of human rights".

An important sign of support for Iranian women and their protests that have resulted in a revolution today. «Revolution that frightens the regime, a cry that is being tried to silence in every way – continues the Councilor -. Now more than ever it is necessary to echo in every corner of the earth and with every means of communication. We take to the streets as citizens but also and above all as administrators, with the intention of acting as a sounding board for the powerful voices that are rising from Iran".
