The students of the "G.Galilei" high school and the "S.Satta" technical institute, together with those of eleven other Italian schools, accompanied by the teachers, will be in immigration lessons as part of the three-year history and memories project , promoted by the library and historical archive of the Senate, also supported by the Italian diplomatic and consular network.

Everything is part of the second year of the "Stories and Memories" project, with Sardinian, Friuli, Liguria and Piedmont students who join the Fri.Sa.li World, the association that has been promoting international exchanges for more than 20 years, thanks to agreements signed in many countries on five continents, the last of which in July last year in Brisbane, with the Queensland education department. L

he school institutions in Sardinia included in the project are the two high schools of Macomer, the Pischedda institute of Bosa, the Liceo Siotto and the Vittorio Emanuele II National Boarding School of Cagliari. «It is a research on Italian emigration after the Second World War - explains Raffaele Franzese, president of Fri.Sa.Li World - which collects interviews and stories of Italians abroad and with the aim of analyzing the integration of Italian communities in the world and the evolution of our culture in the countries examined».

The regional councilor for culture, Andrea Biancareddu, says: «I am particularly fond of this project, financed by this department, which allows us to know the history of Italian emigration after the Second World War. It therefore represents an international project that brings together stories of life lived by our ancestors and which deserves to always be remembered and celebrated».
