To facilitate the start-up processes of the Tossilo plants, for the treatment of waste from half of Sardinia, the Prefect of Nuoro, Giancarlo Dionisi, has summoned the regional environmental councilor , Mario Porcu, the managers of Arpas to the Prefecture for tomorrow morning , the extraordinary administrator of the Province , Costantino Tidu, the liquidator commissioner of the industrial consortium of the Macomer area , Mario Zacchino, and the president of Tossilo Spa , Antonio Delitala.

"We intend to speed up the time to solve, first of all, the environmental problem that risks degenerating into a dangerous threat to public health", he said.

The Government representative therefore deems it essential to restart the composting plant and, in a short time, also the much-suffering waste-to-energy plant , built from scratch by the Region with around 50 million euros, to solve many environmental and economic problems in central Sardinia northern.

"It is clear - underlines Prefect Dionisi - that a serious and concrete financial commitment from the Region will be needed so that the consortium that manages Tossilo Spa is able to make the necessary technical adjustments to the systems and heal the past debts accumulated with the suppliers of essential services to the operation of the plants themselves.

The new convocation of the Prefect follows that of 3 April last year , where the procedures for being able to pay previous and future salaries to workers have been clarified.
