Macabre discovery in Gutturu de Flumini, in the Marina di Arbus.
A body in an advanced state of saponification due to the long stay in the sea was found on the beach. The body, whose condition is very difficult to identify, was dragged to the beach by the waves.
The Carabinieri of Arbus and Montevecchio arrived on site: once the recovery was completed, the remains were taken to the Villacidro cemetery for further investigations.
At the moment it is impossible to establish the sex of the body but it is not excluded that we may learn more if we manage to work on the victim's DNA.
Today's discovery is not an isolated case: two years ago a lifeless body, also in this case in an advanced state of saponification, was discovered in Marina di Arbus, on the beach of Portu Maga.
