Luxury hotel in the ruined building, but first the guano must be removed: the Municipality of Cagliari pays 18 thousand euros
The purchase of the abandoned building between via Baylle and via del Mercato Vecchio has been completed: first, however, the maxi sanitisation due to the invasion of pigeonsPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
There are no more obstacles, except one, for the start of the redevelopment process of the building that belonged to the Municipality on the corner between via Baylle and via del Mercato Vecchio, in the Marina district of Cagliari: the sale in favor of the entrepreneur Danilo Argiolas (former owner of Libarium, who paid just over 600 thousand euros), after an auction opened in 2015, was finalized in January.
The goal is to transform a dilapidated and smelly building into a luxury hotel in the heart of the district close to the port.
But the abandonment was long over time. And through the windows with broken glass, for years and years, thousands of pigeons and other birds have entered. Thus it is necessary to intervene with "guano removal and sanitization" works.
The "cleaning" will be carried out by the private individual but the Municipality, as agreed, will give its economic contribution with a partial reimbursement of 18,178 euros.
Of course, then there are the authorization procedures. But that's another story. Unpredictable.
