Lucio Marzo leaves the juvenile penitentiary institute (Ipm) of Quartucciu and is transferred to the Sassari prison.

The 24-year-old, who confessed to the murder of his girlfriend Noemi Durini, which occurred on 3 September 2017 in Castrignano del Capo when he was 17 and she was 16, must serve the remainder of his sentence of 18 years and 8 months for voluntary, premeditated and multi-aggravated murder in Pallets.

The transfer follows the request of the lawyer Valentina Presicce, lawyer of Imma Rizzo, Noemi's mother, forwarded to the Minister of Justice and the head of the Juvenile Justice Department.

The request was presented following what happened last August 11th when Lucio Marzo on a bonus permit was stopped drunk while driving a car with the risk - comments Presicce - "of causing accidents and endangering the safety of other people".

"After six years of detention - continues the lawyer - Lucio Marzo is still dangerous for society so his stay in a juvenile prison no longer makes sense."
