The search for Giuseppe and Lorenzo Deiana , the two brothers aged 24 and 20 who have been missing since Saturday 19 April, when they went out on a sport fishing trip from which they never returned, continues relentlessly and with the help of numerous volunteers.

Hundreds of hours of patrolling a stretch of coast between Tavolara Island and Capriccioli Beach, drones, planes, divers, side scan sonar, remote-controlled submarines . But, apart from the first traces found on Easter Sunday (boots, a life jacket and a fishing net), nothing else was found. Not even the small fiberglass boat used by the two young men.

The search operations began at 7.30 pm last Saturday after a report from the girlfriend of one of the two and are concentrated in the Capo Figari area , the two boys' usual fishing area, where some personal effects were also found.

They started again this morning after the overnight stop. Directed by the Tempio Prosecutor, they are coordinated by the Port Authority of Olbia. In addition to the massive deployment of forces by the institutions, there is the mobilization of a large number of volunteers who, the Port Authority specifies, are playing a "fundamental role" and have provided "valuable support both at sea and along the coasts". A "generous" response that "has allowed us to extend the searches in a capillary manner" .

Not only research: investigations are also being carried out by collecting testimonies from those responsible for the marinas and the crews of the vessels present on Saturday morning in the Gulf of Olbia, through the localisation of cell phones (the latest contact with the telephone cells of Nodu Pianu and Posada) .

Obviously, the more time passes, the more hopes fade, but the authorities still do not exclude the hypothesis that the two brothers, after the sinking of the vessel, swam to the coast of Capo Figari and sought refuge inland .

The numerous volunteers are invited to contact the Port Authority of Olbia, in order to effectively coordinate the use of resources and avoid overlaps.
