He took the floor and reassured the administrators: «We are already thinking about the next edition of “We walk in Sardinia”: we will certainly find the money for such a successful and shared event».

Then, from Laconi, the regional tourism councilor, Gianni Chessa, promised: «We also have a new project in mind, “The road of miracles”. It will start right from here." The Region is not backing down, it is betting on slow and sustainable tourism, on religious paths that "help to deseasonalize".

Road mapped out

After three days spent in the open air, for a total of 800 kilometers and 15 itineraries, the walkers deployed by the Region finished their efforts in Laconi. Paths of faith, of course, but above all an extraordinary tool to convey the potential of a unique land, between culture and spirituality, nature and well-being. Yes, because the project "We walk in Sardinia", organized by the Gist (Italian tourist press group), with the collaboration of the Sardinian Episcopal Conference, the publisher "Terre di mezzo", the fair "Do the right thing" and the Cipnes, gave the hoped-for answers. «The balance sheet is really interesting - admits Renato Tomasi, head of the regional development sector -. The guests who shared this project of ours were very attentive sentinels. There were 700 of them, including journalists, influencers and bloggers: they expressed flattering opinions on our initiative, on the opportunities guaranteed by the 7 religious paths addressed. This project must become a model of shared development. This is why the Region must take on a huge responsibility, in terms of prospects."

Comments

From the Fabrizio De Andrè auditorium in Laconi, the participants in the event gave positive opinions and praised the organization, as well as the wonder of the places. «I want to thank all my traveling companions», said Marco Maccarini, radio presenter and speaker: «I am generally used to walking alone, to giving myself moments to find myself, in the slowness. This time, however, it was different, thanks to special company." The mayor of Laconi, Salvatore Argiolas, states: «These days give us pride and conviction, for having demonstrated something. At the same time, they also make us aware that we can still improve."
