Widespread checks will be carried out in Quartu schools before the start of the new school year.

Before the first bell rings, the City Council has decided to schedule a series of inspections of classrooms, gyms, cafeterias, meeting areas, and even transit areas , which must always be safe, healthy, and functional.

This is a structured inspection plan designed to prevent critical situations and potential disruptions to teaching activities during the first few days of school resumption. Therefore , the Municipality, in collaboration with the Metropolitan City, has requested that the school also check for the presence of mice so that rodent control can be carried out immediately.

"Prevention must be the foundation of every action to protect our schools," said Councilor for Education Marcella Marini. "Furthermore, following the numerous reports received, we agreed on the need to intervene before reopening, with a comprehensive disinfection of the schools, in collaboration with the Metropolitan City. And acting promptly means guaranteeing our students safe and welcoming environments."

All school facilities under the jurisdiction of the municipality are included in the plan, and therefore state comprehensive schools no. 1 (6 buildings), 2 (4 buildings), 3 (3 buildings), 4 (5 buildings), 5 (4 buildings) and 6 (5 buildings), for a total of 27 buildings.

The program calls for monitoring and, if necessary, disinfestation by September 10th. As always, disinfestation operations will be carried out by Pro Service, the company appointed by the Cagliari Metropolitan City's Insect Control Service for operations throughout the greater Cagliari area, with the aim of protecting residents through the necessary treatments.
