It was easier to create the “Andrea Giudetti” Music Hall than to open it to users and make it work. Located in via Benedetto Croce, in the semi-basement floor (some rooms with a total area of over 200 m²) of the municipal building that houses the nursery school, it was built in just 9 months. Completed a year ago (cost 170 thousand euros), it was inaugurated on 5 February last. However, it is still closed today.

This was revealed by the opposition councilor Annalisa Gulino yesterday in the City Council. Apart from the time necessary for the installation of a payment counter which allows for the differentiation of consumption with respect to the entire municipal structure, the underlying problem, emerged from the response of councilor Stefania Terrazzoni, is that of its management. Meanwhile, it is necessary that the revenues from users «go to cover the expenses and maintenance of the equipment. The room must have a social purpose and must be used by the highest possible number of associations and individual musicians».

Having specified this, he continued, «it has been verified that it is possible to make an agreement with an association in particular , which will take care of it without compensation in exchange and which guarantees that the use is made according to the regulation. He will be responsible for opening, making the room available, verifying that the hours have been paid and then closing, making sure that everything remains in order. To do this we needed time; now, however, we are on the finishing straight". Times? By now it seems clear that we have to wait for the beginning of the year.
