A kiosk bar in the port area on the Cristoforo Colombo seafront in Calasetta was heavily damaged by a fire that developed during the night.

The request for intervention from the fire brigade arrived shortly before 5.30.

Two vehicles arrived on site: the flames extinguished, the area was made safe, thus preventing the fire from spreading to the entire structure.

No person was injured, investigations were started to determine the causes of what happened.
