Gianluca Mureddu, 39 years old, originally from La Maddalena , is the new extraordinary commissioner of the Asinara National Park . The appointment was now official and took place through a decree signed by Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. A graduate in Molecular Biological Sciences, Mureddu is a councilor of the board of directors of the La Maddalena National Park, a role that has allowed him to establish relationships with the Asinara Park Authority and with the director Vittorio Gazale.

The appointment , an expression of the Brothers of Italy group, comes after a complex period of lack of governance for the Park , without a president for nine years now, without a board of directors since 2020 and a director on prorogation.

Mureddu will have to deal with a series of delicate issues that have been at a standstill for too long, due to the lack of a legal representative, necessary to sign the essential documents, such as the budget forecast already drawn up by the administrative offices of the Authority and the specifications for the issuing of concessions.
