Full joy, without fear and without the limitations of the previous two years. A festive crowd of all ages, quilted with traditional Italian and American masks, invaded the streets of the historic center of Sassari for a few hours. Success announced and respected for the "Carrasciari Sassaresu", organized by the Tusitala storytelling association and the Il Corso association with the artistic direction of Monica De Murtas.

To enliven Shrove Tuesday with juggling, music, scenic effects and soap bubbles, the acrobats, performers, jugglers, stilt walkers from the Tusitala, ABC, Mediterranean Ballet, Shedan Theater and Animabimbi Magori associations. The artistic director Monica De Murtas comments satisfied: «The public accepted our invitation to participate in the Carnival party and many arrived in the center in masks. This demonstrates how the people of Sassari always have a great interest in experiencing our beautiful historic center when creating attractive events».

Among the costumes on stage, all made by Fabio Loi, those inspired by the Sardinian tradition were very popular, including su Componidore, the mischievous Ziedde and Maria Pettenedda. Success also for traditional Venetian masks and contemporary ones such as Spiderman and Elsa from Frozen. Thunderous applause for the choreographies created by Alessandra Mura for the dance theater workshop of the Mediterranean Ballet. The Tony Grandi lighting design embellished the grand finale in Piazza Tola animated by Peppino Diaz's DJ set.
