A direct common thread unites the pupils of the Cuglieri primary school and Santa Claus , thanks to Poste Italiane . Fifteen small pupils from Cuglieri from the first class, part of the Istituto Comprensivo di Santu Lussurgiu, delivered the classic Christmas letters to the post office in Cuglieri and to the head of the mail distribution center in Oristano, Michelina Dessì .

In addition to the usual requests for gifts, however, the children called for an end to the conflict in Ukraine, world peace and the delivery of food to less fortunate people : signs of equality and peace that come from the most genuine part of society.

«It was a very special moment – comments Michelina Dessì – nice to answer the many questions of the children. They are always very curious and particularly interested in understanding what the path of their letter will be and how it will reach Santa Klaus». "It is important to keep this tradition alive - adds the manager - and help renew the value of writing, gathering the hopes and wishes that children address to Santa Claus and the Child Jesus".

The special letters to Santa Claus are a service created by Poste Italiane throughout Sardinia, through 441 post offices and over 250 red mailing boxes. Through a dedicated box, young pupils from all over the island have delivered tens of thousands of letters to Poste staff, who will intercede with the special and generous recipient.
