In Cagliari there are over 170 thousand daily car entries from other municipalities, which are added to the approximately 97 thousand residents' cars.

However, in the "hot" areas of the capital (hospitals, stations, public offices, beaches, universities, banks, etc.) there are "only" 9,500 parking areas. And so there are double queues and wild parking.

Cirem (Inter-university Center for Economic Research and Mobility) reports, in addition to the data, possible solutions: «Focus on multi-storey car parks and eliminate free parking to discourage car use».
