Iglesias, mother and son die in a few hours
Both positive for the virus, family members have not been able to see them again
Mother and son aged 88 and 55 died within hours of each other. Their story arouses great emotion in Iglesias both for how it developed and for how it dramatically ended.
The conditions of Annamaria Solinas and Bruno Sanna, both vaccinated with double dose and suffering from serious diseases, worsened on Saturday afternoon and the family members asked for the intervention of 118. Both taken to hospital, they tested positive for Covid. The mother was at the Cto di Iglesias, the son in Cagliari, at the Santissima Trinità. The situation worsened further on Sunday, with the death of Annamaria, and 12 hours later with that of her son.
"None of us were able to see them for the last time, nor dress them - says Anna, Carlo's wife, the 88-year-old's eldest son -, since the anticovid prevention rules are absolutely rigorous and do not even allow you to wear clothing for the last trip. We know that both have been put in a lot, without a last goodbye, a glance, all of this is really terrible ”.
