Sardinian hunters on a war footing . The blow came the same day after long discussions with the offices of the Regional Department of the Environment: it will not be possible to hunt the noble sedentary game, that is the hare and the partridge, on the second Sunday of October.

"The report of the technicians of the Forestas Agency and the consequent negative opinion of the Ispra (Higher Institute for the Protection and Research of the Environment) do not allow for an additional day of hunting as hoped", explains Marco Efisio Pisanu , commenting on the news. The hunting activity for these two species is allowed only in the self-managed and authorized hunting reserves.
"After the great satisfaction for the decision of the TAR not to take into consideration the appeal of the environmental associations that asked to suspend the hunt on midweek holidays of Tuesday and Friday and the request to reduce the hunting period to January 10, 2023 for thrushes and as of January 20, 2023 for waterfowl, the disappointment for many Sardinian hunters has arrived ”, explains the president of the hunting association“ Caccia, Pesca e Tradizioni Sardegna ”.
Pisanu announces battle : "We have shown that Forestas technicians have made a mistake in the census calculations" on the basis of which the calculations of the hunting levy to be distributed on hunting days are carried out.
“Their mistake - explains Pisanu - cost the Sardinian hunters dearly . In fact, following the negative report by Forestas and the consequent opinion of the same content by Ispra, the Councilor was unable to grant further hunting days. We are considering legal action for this serious mistake. It is not possible that hunters always pay for the mistakes of others ”, concludes Pisanu.
