"Enough, enough, enough": the mayor of Pozzomaggiore, Mariano Soro, repeats it three times, having experienced hours of hell while a gigantic fire destroyed the countryside of his town.

When the alarm has now subsided, he entrusts a reflection to social media, accompanied by an image of the devastating fire front: "I believe that the image is enough to make people understand what Sardinia has been suffering for too many years", he explains. And he adds: «If I think of all the people (boys, girls, fathers and mothers) who catapult themselves to try to stop all this it makes me want to cry».

For the mayor, it is time for a decisive intervention: «Let's stop all this and technology can help us», he writes, «with drones and I don't know what else, 24 hours a day, in all areas of Sardinia . We invest in environmental safety which from May to September is essential to stem this miserable fire business."

The mayor extends his thanks to all those who did not spare themselves during the worst hours of the emergency and assures that a state of calamity will be declared.
