Travel is back, uninterrupted. The Trenino Verde, after about ten months, resumed service on July 15th, even beyond the Tresnuraghes station, all the way to Bosa Marina. The tourist train derailed on October 5th along the Bosa-Macomer route, near Modolo, with 20 tourists on board.

It had come off the tracks due to a collapse in the railway infrastructure, right near a level crossing where work was underway. No one was injured, but that section of the line has been closed ever since. It took nine months to repair the line, which was costly for the tourism business, managed by the Esedra cooperative on behalf of ARST. Throughout the spring and early summer, the train, which departs from Macomer, loaded with tourists, is forced to stop at the Tresnuraghes station, excluding the route to Bosa Marina.

There have obviously been serious economic consequences and a loss of bookings. There has also been distress among tourists interested in making the reverse journey, that is, toward the inland areas, with excursions to archaeological monuments and to discover culinary traditions and local products. The Esedra cooperative participated in the Milan Tourism Exchange, attracting bookings from all over Europe. Until now, travel has only been as far as Tresnuraghes, but starting June 15th and continuing throughout the summer, until September, the journey aboard the ancient Bauchiero carriage will reach Bosa Marina.
