A 54-year-old from Carbonia, with a criminal record, was arrested by the carabinieri for aggravated theft and resistance to a public official.
The man, stopped in via San Ponziano by the military shortly after the theft on a car parked there, immediately showed signs of intolerance at the control of his Hyundai Accent, and then tried to escape by pulling the carabinieri.
Subjected to a personal and vehicular search, the 54-year-old was found in possession of electronic items taken away shortly before from the car in which the theft had been committed, which were recognized by the rightful owner and returned.
The 54-year-old was taken home under house arrest, pending the rite for the direct route scheduled for today in Cagliari.
