A 39-year-old man living in Southern Sardinia, known to law enforcement for numerous property, weapons, and drug crimes since 2009, has been banned from residing in the municipality of Cagliari for three years.

The preventive measure was carried out by the State Police, following an investigation by the Anti-Crime Police Division, and after approval from the judicial authorities and the police commissioner.

The man, who had already received a verbal warning from the Cagliari Police Chief, had been reported several times by the Police Headquarters' Flying Squad in 2024, in light of his proven danger to society, for alleged crimes of receiving stolen goods and the improper use and counterfeiting of payment instruments, committed within the city of Cagliari.

Therefore, having deemed the conditions for qualified dangerousness to exist, the Judicial Authority ordered the application of the ban on residence in the capital.
