He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete shoulder in his direction of travel. It happened today around 11.30 am at kilometer 37 of the 125 Var state road towards Cagliari . The driver of the vehicle, the only one involved in the accident, is a 63-year-old pensioner from Muravera , driving his black Ford Ka.
After the impact, the vehicle overturned on the roadway and then repositioned itself with its wheels on the asphalt. The 118 air ambulance intervened on site. After initial treatment, the man was taken in code red by ambulance to the Brotzu in Cagliari . His condition appears not to be critical.
The San Vito Carabinieri intervened to investigate and are now investigating to determine the exact causes of the accident.
