He lands in Elmas with 100 drug eggs in his stomach: arrested
The man had arrived in Sardinia on a flight from Bologna: he felt ill and was taken to the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità
Heroin and cocaine, contained in 100 perfectly sealed ovules, which he had swallowed to take them from the continent to Sardinia. The "drug courier", however, was stopped for a check upon arrival at Elmas airport and finally arrested by the police.
In total, one kilo and two hundred grams of substance were seized.
During the checks on the passengers who disembarked from the plane from Bologna, a Nigerian showed signs of nervousness, an attitude that made the Flying Squad agents suspicious, who decided to investigate further. Those on baggage and personnel gave negative results, but the foreigner - as the minutes passed - began to feel ill. Taken to the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità, he underwent x-ray tests which showed the presence of numerous foreign bodies in the digestive system.
During emergency hospitalization, the man expelled the hundred eggs containing heroin and cocaine. Arrested, after discharge from hospital he was taken to Uta prison.
