He crashed into a pillar at the entrance to a residential complex in via San Gavino, in Villacidro . He then drove off, leaving the wrecked car behind. After a while he came back. And the troubles began for a twenty-seven year old from Serramanna: meanwhile, the carabinieri of the Villacidro company, led by Captain Francesco Capula, had arrived at the scene of the accident.

The military were already carrying out the surveys and would have had an easy time identifying the person responsible who had abandoned the crashed vehicle.

The origin of the crash could be high speed and the tire marks on the asphalt, a streak of about twenty meters, seem to confirm this thesis.

Fortunately, the accident happened at 4 in the morning. The one in which it happened during the day is a very busy area, due to the presence of numerous commercial activities. Had it happened a few hours later it could have been a massacre.

The Carabinieri, let the Arma know, are not going on vacation, but will remain available to citizens to guard the area. In these festive days there will be an intensification of checks and patrols.
