Guspini, the mayor against the new photovoltaic plant

“There is no reason to build a maxi-electric station right in an area to be protected”.

The mayor of Guspini Giuseppe De Fanti opposes the project for the construction of a new photovoltaic plant in his municipality .

“The station is located precisely in a characteristic and strategic point of the industrial archeology context along the route of the old Montevecchio-San Gavino mining railway”, reads the observations sent to the Ministry for Ecological Transition .

And again: "It should be noted that the route is integrated into the regional project on the cycle paths of the Region as well as being part of the Santa Barbara mining trail".

The Region also raises exceptions, which in relation to the Green Energy Sardinia 2 project underlines the need to defend flora and fauna as well as the failure to comply with some constraints imposed by the landscape plans.
