Antonia Soru, the oldest woman in Guasila and in the whole of Trexenta, left at the venerable age of 105. Born on February 9, 1916, a widow of 35 years, on her one hundred and fifth birthday she had made an appointment with everyone the following year for a new big party. Instead for a few months he did not make it.

Last February she would have preferred a party in grand style, but due to the health emergency due to the spread of Covid-19 she had to be satisfied with a small refreshment, consoling herself with the many greetings received on the various social networks that were reported to her by the family members.

He lived in his home in the center of the town with his daughter Lucia Chiu, his son-in-law Fortunato Cocco and his beloved grandchildren.

"We hoped to celebrate this year again and hear that funny nursery rhyme she recited to entertain the guests so much that it became a ritual that has accompanied us for years", says Mayor Paola Casula who wanted to make her grandmother's family feel "the closeness and the embrace of the community ".
