Grillo trial: sentencing postponed, a grave loss for the presiding judge.
Marco Contu's son has died. A new date has been set.The verdict will not be delivered today in the gang rape trial against Ciro Grillo and three of his friends (Francesco Corsiglia, Edoardo Capitta, and Vittorio Lauria) in Tempio Pausania. This morning, the courtroom in Tempio Pausania announced the postponement due to a serious loss for the presiding judge, Marco Contu: his son has died.
The new date has been set: it will resume on Monday 22 September at 10.30 am .
The final hearings took place in recent days. The panel for the next hearing, unless otherwise decided, will consist of the same judges as the trial judges: Marco Contu, presiding judge, Marcella Pinna, and Alessandro Cossu . The latter will require a special assignment from the Court of Asti, where he has been transferred.
