The closed-door trial for group sexual violence, which occurred in a villa on the Costa Smeralda, has resumed in the Tempio court, with Ciro Grillo (son of Beppe, founder of the M5s), Edoardo Capitta, Vittorio Lauria and Francesco Corsiglia.
In the courtroom, for the second consecutive day, the main accuser of the four Genoese friends and victim of the alleged violence. The Italian-Norwegian student , nineteen at the time of the events - the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 - yesterday answered the questions of the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso and the civil party represented by the lawyers Giulia Bongiorno and Dario Romano. A dramatic story: «They forced me to drink, then the blackout. I was paralyzed, I couldn't move. And after the rape - he confessed - I attempted suicide several times."
Today, however, the cross-examination of the defense began, with questions from the lawyer Antonella Cuccureddu (corsiglia lawyer) and her reconstruction of the profile of the alleged young victim, starting from the school she attended, a Catholic institute in Milan.
«There will be all the questions from the defendants' lawyers and the objections», explained the lawyer Gennaro Velle, who defends Corsiglia, «it is important to evaluate the credibility of the complainant. The trial is based on the girl's credibility and reliability - the lawyer clarified - There are certainly elements of contradiction with respect to the statements made by the other girl and with respect to further elements, starting with the contents of the phones".
In the courtroom we will return to the alleged kiss between Ciro Grillo and the girl, who yesterday he said he did not remember. The friend, however, in the two hearings in September, had spoken precisely about that kiss in the disco.
But attention is also focused on the possibility that, in front of the girl, who has never seen them in an official setting, the images of what happened that night will also be transmitted.
A very long hearing is expected, which could be adjourned to mid-December.
