Yet another danger in the Santa Maria di Pisa neighborhood of Sassari.

Last night a large branch fell to the ground, breaking off from the pine tree that, along with the other nearby trees, has been growing without any pruning for years. The firefighters intervened to secure both the pine tree and the other tree next to it.

The situation was so critical that the workers had to remove some gutters from a building, which were in danger of collapsing because they had been crushed by the pine tree.

Residents of the area have long been reporting that the continuous collapse of branches puts the safety of those who pass through these streets at risk, with the risk that, sooner or later, something serious might happen.
