Pinuccio (Giuseppino) Pilia was one of Cagliari's longest-lived fans: on 26 January he turned 100 and yesterday he passed away peacefully at his home in Pirri.

To celebrate the century of life he had received a visit from the players Leonardo Pavoletti and Marco Mancosu.

Mr. Pilia's first season ticket dates back to 1965. Since then, for over forty years, his presence in the stadium has never been lacking: first in the stands of the Amsicora, then in the Curva Nord at Sant'Elia. A passion that has remained unchanged over the years.

The team that has resumed racing in the championship has lost its longest-lived fan.
