Ghost nets in the protected marine area, coast guard divers clean the seabed

Pieces of net abandoned on the seabed of the protected marine area of Capo Caccia-Isola Piana. Tens of meters that disfigured and altered the delicate ecosystem were recovered by the soldiers of the Alghero maritime district office with the support of the 4th Underwater Unit of the Cagliari Coast Guard.

The divers worked in area "B" of the marine reserve , setting sail on the ghost nets which were subsequently transported and disembarked from the GC B 153 dinghy in the port of Alghero, within the spaces intended for the goods subject to seizure of the local Maritime District Office .
