250,000 euros are received from the Regional Council for the annual immigration plan, destined for projects that aim to improve and protect "the living conditions of non-EU workers in Sardinia". The ok from the Sardinian Immigration Council arrived in June and now there is the green light from the executive:

«The Region focuses on the inclusion and integration of the immigrant communities present in our territory. In particular, the focus is on the needs of the new generations at risk of social exclusion. Through inclusive planning and cultural mediation we accompany young people to work, to prevent socio-cultural and economic marginalization»: words of the Councilor for Labor Ada Lai, also responsible for the immigration sector.

The lines of action include interventions "for the realization of social-work inclusion projects aimed at young immigrants residing in Sardinia, provided by private subjects (institutions, associations and more) through a public tender procedure".

For the knowledge and understanding of reciprocal cultural values, in a logic of exchange between immigrants and the local population, «the plan focuses on communication with the campaign "No one is a stranger to humanity", divided into three thematic days, on the occasion of European Union against trafficking in human beings (October 18), of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25) and of the Day for Human Rights (December 10).

A choice of the Region is the enhancement of companies that have distinguished themselves for having favored the employment of refugees, «through the promotion of the "Working for Refugee Integration 2023" award, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Confindustria, the Global Compact Network Italy, and the UNHCR».

Another important objective, for the Region, "is to continue to inform and sensitize public opinion through a series of meetings, in Sardinian universities, on the subject of narrating the migratory phenomena, with particular reference to the flows coming from the current scenarios of international geo-political crisis in order to spread a greater awareness of the complexity of the current migratory phenomena".
