The protest of Sardinian farmers and shepherds crosses the Tyrrhenian Sea . This morning a delegation of about a hundred people left for the Capital, where Riscatto Agricolo canceled the large demonstration in Piazza San Giovanni but a symbolic initiative is still planned which will also involve delegates from the other Regions .

"We are currently defining where and when to meet with the representatives of the other principals," explained Roberto Congia , one of the spokespersons, last night. «We are Sardinian and determined to continue with the same determination» .

The large demonstration was cancelled, explains Riscatto Agricolo, so as not to create too much inconvenience for citizens: «We decided to bring only a delegation of 10 tractors to San Giovanni, as a symbol of the protest . All the demonstrators with their agricultural vehicles will remain to raise public awareness, remaining at the garrisons, all so as not to further undermine the great support received up to now from all Italian citizens".

A procession with four tractors is also planned in the center of the capital, "I don't rule out that we will pass in front of the Colosseum", reported Maurizio Sanigagliesi of Riscatto Agricolo.

A small sign of truce, but the mobilization remains. The agricultural world has been clamoring for a meeting with Prime Minister Meloni and Minister Lollobrigida .

Another hot front is that of Sanremo, with farmers who want to bring their voice to the Ariston stage, the most followed in Italy these days . But yesterday came the RAI's no: " We will bring the problems and requests to the attention of the general public through a statement from them which will read Amadeus on stage", announced viale Mazzini . But no farmer will take the stage.

A position that infuriated Riscatto Agricolo: «If we cannot go on stage, we will be forced to concentrate all the tractors of the Lombardy, Piedmont and Liguria garrisons on Sanremo, which are already organizing themselves to reach Sanremo by Friday or Saturday morning ».

And the island is also present in the delegation that arrived in the city of flowers, represented by Fabio Pitzalis, from Guasila : «We also want to represent the problems of our region, but from what transpires for the moment it could be a useless trip. In fact, they don't seem willing to let us get on stage."

« I hope – continues Pitzalis – that no flag or trade unionist is given the opportunity to speak for us. What interests us most is what will happen in Rome, everything depends on the Minister of Agriculture Lollobrigida ."

Yesterday, thanks to the arrival in Cagliari of numerous farmers and shepherds who came from the rest of the island to leave for Rome, it was a day of passion in the city. Long queues caused by around sixty tractors which blocked the entrance to the port, sending traffic into a tailspin at the entrance to the city .

And this morning a new permanent garrison began, like the one in Cagliari, in Porto Torres . «We will try to block port activities, including landings and imports», explained Salvatore Muntinu, a breeder from Mores.
