The discovery was made by the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Tempio Pausania , who also triggered the seizure of two areas, once used for mining and now in disuse, for a total area of 120,000 square metres.
The first, of about 40,000 square meters, was identified in Santa Teresa Gallura , the second, of about 80,000 square meters, in Luogosanto .
During the inspections, the military found everything piled up: car wrecks, cranes, excavators, decommissioned work vehicles . And again: exhausted batteries, tyres, containers, diesel tanks (which poured sewage into the subsoil), sheet metal and ferrous material of various kinds.
In addition to the seals, the two people to whom the land is attributable have filed complaints to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
