Fonni, released a specimen of golden eagle

In the countryside of Fonni, in the locality of Donnortei, a specimen of golden eagle was released which a few weeks ago had been rescued by a forestry patrol: a private individual had found it in an evident state of difficulty. The bird of prey was taken to the Forestas Agency's recovery center and subjected to a series of investigations which then allowed it to be treated.

The eagle, once re-established, was released into the wild in the same area where it was recovered in the presence of schoolchildren, the staff of the Forestry Corps of the Gavoi station, and the Forestas Agency of Nuoro, the citizen who had found the animal, the mayor of Fonni, Daniela Falconi, and her deputy.
