Mara Farci, the 30-year-old from Fluminimaggiore, who fell into a coma last July while she was in Melbourne, Australia and returned to Sardinia in the following weeks thanks to a fundraiser, left the intensive care unit of the Sirai hospital in Carbonia and started rehabilitation at San Martino di Oristano.

The mayor of Fluminimaggiore Marco Corrias communicated this with a video on Facebook, authorized by his parents.

"Mara is present and alert and is much better," explained the mayor. «She began to feed herself, she answers questions and also takes her first steps independently».

«It is the beginning of a journey that we hope will lead to further improvements. We are happy and we can only cheer for her», added Corrias, wishing Mara and her family on behalf of the administration and the entire community of Fluminimaggiore.
