As a Sardinian returning home, I know well the difficulties faced by those who live abroad and want to visit their loved ones . Too many times I've had to deal with prohibitive prices and difficulties finding available seats on flights , due to a territorial continuity model that for years has ignored the emotional ties with those who live far from Sardinia. This is why I'm happy that the new air continuity model has been able to consider those who have ties to Sardinia and want to visit their relatives, without spending impossible sums and with careful consideration for available seats.

Regional President Alessandra Todde wrote this on social media, commenting on the new plan prepared by the Region for territorial continuity.

"New categories of users have been introduced," Todde continues, "for those who live outside the island and are related to Sardinian residents: first-degree relatives (parents and children; brothers and sisters), second-degree relatives (grandparents and grandchildren: i.e., children of their children), and third-degree relatives (uncles and aunts and nieces; great-grandparents and great-grandchildren). Currently, the fare is full, but the new plan includes the purchase of tickets with a resident discount, increased by 30%.

"I'm aware that there's still much to do, to improve, to fix. You rightly remind us of this every day. But we've achieved an improvement and a basis for discussion," the governor concludes.
