Flames on the island, helicopters in action in Sant'Antonio di Gallura, Serramanna and Bonorva

Fifteen fires in total today on the Sardinian regional territory, and for three of these the Forestry Corps has also used air vehicles to extinguish.

The interventions were those of Sant'Antonio di Gallura , in the locality of Stazzo Zanzari, with coordination of the staff of the Calangianus Forestry Corps Station, and the helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Limbara. The teams of the Forestas Agency of the Luras and Arzachena and Tempio construction sites and the volunteers of Arzachena worked.

The flames covered an area of a few hundred square meters of wood.

In Serramanna , in Azienda Pimpisu, the shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Capoterra Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the personnel on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base in Villasalto. The teams of the Forestas Agency of the Monastir shipyard, the Fire Brigade of Cagliari and the barracelli of Serramanna intervened.

The fire affected an area of about 1.5 hectares of Eucalyptus reforestation but not the foliage of the trees.

Fire also in Bonorva , in the Sanatorio Villa Manai area, on the outskirts. The shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Thiesi Forestry Corps Station, with the personnel on board the helicopters coming from the CFVA bases in Anela and Bosa. The twin-engine regional helicopter took off from Fenosu with an extinguishing capacity of 4,000 liters, and a canadair from Olbia, expected the arrival of a second Canadair from the Gallura airport.

The teams of the Forestas Agency, the Macomer and Sassari Fire Brigade, the barracelli and volunteers intervened.
