An accident occurred this morning at the construction site of the new State Road 195, where a 40-year-old worker from Pula fell from a height of six meters.
The man was transported in serious condition to the emergency room of Brotzu Hospital aboard an air ambulance: he is in critical condition.
The accident occurred in Tanca Nissa, in the area where work is underway to connect the two sections of road, while a worker from a contractor was standing on a connecting grid.
Carabinieri from the Capoterra station, local police, and Spresal personnel responded to the scene to conduct their investigations. An investigation is underway to determine any liability and to determine whether all safety procedures were followed.
