Moments of apprehension and then a happy ending this morning at the Dogana dock in the port of Cagliari , where a small Chihuahua dog was rescued from the water after falling from a boat.

The cub, a honey-colored female named Asia, was spotted in distress and promptly rescued by Port Authority staff, who moved quickly to help her.

Asia is currently at the vet for checks and treatment, but fortunately her condition seems good.

Anyone looking for the dog—who presumably slipped accidentally while sailing—can contact the Port Authority directly, which took care of her immediately after her rescue.
