Flames in Santa Giusta, helicopter in action
Fourteen in total the fires broke out on the island in the last hours
There are 14 fires registered today in Sardinia .
In one case, in the countryside of Santa Giusta , the intervention of the air vehicles of the regional fire prevention system was necessary.
This is the fire that broke out in the "Paule tonda" area : the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps of Marrubiu and by the GAUF group specialized in suppressing fires with the use of fire, and by the helicopter personnel on board the helicopter from the CFVA helicopter base in Fenosu.
Two teams from the Forestas Agency from the Santa Giusta and Siapiccia construction sites and a team from the Oristano Soccorso Sardegna Centrale volunteer association took part. The fire covered a very small area.
The extinguishing operations ended around 5 pm.
