There is also sport in the rich Christmas calendar of San Teodoro . This morning there was the Fit Christmas, an itinerant sporting event sponsored by the Municipality which enlivened the town during the morning. Two locations were chosen for the original event which adds a touch of fitness to the Christmas atmosphere which pervades the center of Gallura: La Cinta beach, in its spectacular winter guise, and Citai Park with its open-air training facilities .

To kick off the event the evocative sup crossing of Santa Claus with friends of the Windsurf Club Coda Cavallo. After a fierce team relay aboard the table, the event continued with the Christmas Walk up to the Citai Park in via Sardegna, in collaboration with Atletica San Teodoro and Speedy Sport. Adults and children competed in the competitions and courses created by the San Teodoro Athletics Association, while the team of disabled children enrolled in Dorgali's Speedy Sport competed in archery.

And then lots of entertainment for the little Teodorini, with the Christmas Baby Dance in the company of the Elves and the IES Eventi mascots, and finally a tasty refreshment for everyone at "Il Viale".

An original event, well attended also thanks to a splendid sunny day, which saw the collaboration of various local realities: the Speedy Sport sports association which involves many athletes with disabilities and their families, Athletics San Teodoro, Windsurf Club Coda Cavallo, the animation experts IES eventi and the Il Viale coffee maker. «We care about our community - say the Teodorini organizers and trainers, Manuela Ferro and Sebastiano Curreli - and we think that sport is an indispensable element for creating cohesion and spreading a healthy lifestyle oriented towards the principles of inclusion and socialization ».

THE CROSSING IN SUP:

Ferro and Curreli, members of the work team that last summer proposed "San Teodoro in fitness", the weekend dedicated to sport that involved hundreds of participants, also have another goal: to animate the area away from the summer and tourist period, with a view to contributing to improving the quality of life of the residents, especially the younger ones, but not only. "After the pandemic - adds Curreli - we feel even more the desire to meet all together and in the open air".
The rich program of Christmas events in San Teodoro will continue tomorrow at 4 pm with the Santa Claus Village in Piazza Mediterraneo. The event, organized by SETC, the Municipal Territorial Educational Service, is designed for children and includes music, entertainment, face painting, the distribution of gifts and many sweet snacks such as crepes and cotton candy.
