14 fires were recorded in Sardinia today. For two of these the Forestry Corps used not only teams on the ground but also aerial vehicles.

In Nurri , in the localities of “Cantoniera di Nurri” and “Pizzu Jossu”, the flames were put out with an intervention coordinated by the staff of the Isili Forestry Corps Station, with helicopters coming from the CFVA bases of Villasalto and Sorgono. A team from the CFVA-GAUF of Cagliari, two from the Forestas Agency from the Villanova Tulo and Isili shipyards operated. The fires covered an area of approximately 2 hectares of bush pasture (the first) and approximately 1 hectare of stubble.

In Serramanna , in the "Casello 33" area, the Sanluri Forestry Corps Station intervened with the staff on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base of Marganai. A team of Sanluri firefighters and a team of volunteers from the Monastir-Orsa S. Lucia association were on site. The fire covered an area of approximately 20 hectares of uncultivated land and 10 hectares of stubble.
